Grace and Truth | What is Grace?
There seems to be a lot of confusion as to who Jesus is, what he calls us to, what he offers and how to follow him. But as we break it down Jesus was clear with his message and clear with what he offers to every person. He is full of Grace, full of Truth and he calls us to follow Him and in turn have grace and truth as the guiding principles of our life. It’s time to respond to the cultural moment and see how Jesus’ message speaks to us even today. (John 1, Gospel of Matthew)
As we dive into our new series, we have to start with the simple yet important question.. What is grace? We think we know, or many of us have heard the answer before and yet we approach God trying to win his affection. We think we have to earn his grace when in fact it is the sweetest, greatest gift of unmerited, underserved favor any person could ever know. (John 1:1-5, 14-17, Eph 2:1-9, Matt 4: 12-17)
